Pagès, who finished in second position at the AUS-X Open last year (Sunday), says he is incredibly excited to return to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on November 12 & 13, with the hyped Australian atmosphere enticing his return.

“I have really good memories from last years AUS-X Open, and I really can’t wait to come back! I love visiting Australia at that time of the year, so it’s awesome to be able to go down there, and compete in such an awesome event.

This year is going to be really tough - competition wise - as I know that Clinton (Moore) is working on some pretty crazy tricks, along with the other big name guys too, so I’ll go there and try do my best and we’ll see what happens,” commented Pagès.

In the world of FMX, the ‘Best-Trick’ contest is fairly self-explanatory; perform your hardest, most difficult stunt on a motorcycle, in a bid to capture gold medal glory. Best-Trick contests have been responsible for tricks such as the Double Backflip, numerous Backflip variations, Frontflip combinations, 360 and 540 spins along with the recent influx of body varials.

As supercross icons Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed and Cooper Webb will all race in the supercross element of the event, Pagès identifies the opportunity to compete alongside those guys as an awesome experience, and is excited to get the proceedings underway.

“The opportunity to compete alongside Ryan, Chad and Cooper is amazing. It’ll be a real honour to share our experiences with those legends – I can’t wait for it all to begin!” concluded Pagès.

Pagès is the second big-name announcement for the Monster Energy ‘Best Trick’ competition at this years AUS-X Open, with Australian legend Clinton Moore being announced just one week ago.

More big name stars are expected to be announced in the following weeks.
